On Sunday, Mel – a friend of mine up visiting scotland, and I climbed Mel’s first munro, Broad Cairn.
It was a freezing day, but sunny, so the views from the summit were stunning, and it was brilliant fun. A sprinkling of snow made the hills around look somehow other worldly.
Sometimes getting out of the town and up into some peace and quiet makes a big difference to how I’m feeling. This walk/hike was no exception, it was so quiet when we reached the summit, and looking around I couldn’t help but have something of a fresh perspective.
